This is an introductory video detailing how to use figured bass (5/3, 6/3 or 6/4) instead of ‘a’, ‘b’ or ‘c’ to represent inversions. This is *not* a full guide to figured bass merely a first-step to help those get a better understanding of the basics.

The video is equivalent to grade 5 of the Associated Board (ABRSM) music theory syllabus. A full list of my other videos can be found at http://www.musictheoryvideos.com
